Emme is a 43-lb Shepherd mix who is approximately 18-months-old, she is gentle, house-trained, and loves people and other dogs. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys romping and playing with other dogs.
Emme’s story began with her on the run for more than a month. She was wearing a red collar with a leash attached, but she was frightened and extremely difficult to catch. Despite many efforts, Emme continued to evade everyone who tried to help her.
Then, something changed. Emme crossed paths with a wonderful person who understood that she needed patience—not to be chased or forced. Little by little, this person earned Emme’s trust. That special connection eventually made it possible to safely capture her and get her to safety. ❤️
Emme has been in foster care, and what a transformation we’ve seen! She has settled beautifully into home life and has discovered that people can be kind, that she can feel safe, and that she can finally relax.
Now, after everything she has been through, Emme is ready for the next chapter of her journey—a forever home.
Her ideal home has:
• A securely fenced yard
• Someone home much of the day
• A home where she doesn’t need to be crated
• Ideally, other friendly, well-balanced dog(s)
• A patient family willing to give her love and stability
